Everyone who knows me knows im am not a religios person this is not about religion in the united states or lack there of.

Think back about 18 years (or more) ago if you lived in a smaller town or suburb what did your street look like around christmas time? I bet it was like mine every house lit up with christmas lights. I'm not talking some lights around the window's or off the overhang. I'm talking about people who put some though, consideration and EFFORT into doing a lights display. I was saddend tonight I went around my two towns ( i live in a small town with another small town within a mile away) and I only found ONE house worthy of taking any pictures of. The way it used to be is you had to look for a house without some decorations up, now its the other way around, this saddens me as i may not believe that Dec 25th is the birthday of jesus, wich if he IS real its been proven that dec 25th wouldnt have been. But i do believe in the spirit of the holiday of bringing people together. I feel bad for the children of today, the magic of christmas is being lost there is no longer the that whimsical feel to your normal surroundings, riding down your street with your parents and not needing streetlights the lights from every house showing you the way as you gaze at them in awe.
